The 2011 World Quilt Competition Featuring Quilt Entries From Across the Globe

Each year the international World Quilt Competition has such an amazing display of quilts and textile art that the judges find presenting one quilt with the Best of World Award very difficult. The competition quilts will be judged and displayed at the World Quilt Show – New England at the Radisson Center of New Hampshire in Manchester, NH, August 16-19, 2012. This international exhibition explodes with diverse culture, creativity and talent!

Quilters from all ten of this year’s countries will enter their finest works in the juried and judged contest, competing for over $10,000 in prizes that will be awarded to the winners. Best of Country from among the entries for each nation will be chosen as well as the prestigious Best of World Award. The maker of this quilt will receive a prize of $2,000 US! In addition, visitors to the show will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite quilt entry to win the Viewer's Choice Award.

If you miss the World Quilt Competition XV on display at the World Quilt Show – New England, you still have a chance to see it! All the international and select U.S. winning entries will continue on a national tour and be exhibited at the Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza XVIII in September, Pacific International Quilt Festival XXI in October and at the World Quilt Show – Florida in November 2012.
